Apple CEO Claim's Commented
Washington DC - U.S.. CEO of Research in Motion (RIM), Jim Balsillie commented on Apple CEO Steve Jobs claims related to the amount of future sales of smartphones and a 7-inch tablet.
"We think many consumers are now tired with what is said and thought out by Apple," Balsillie said in response to Apple's statement, as quoted by the Straits Times on Wednesday October 20, 2010.
"For anyone who is outside the influence of environmental and Apple must have realized if the tablet-sized seven-inch will actually dominate the market," said Balsillie is denied if the size of the tablet was considered too small.
As is known, the current manufacturer of the Blackberry is currently developing a tablet-sized screens 18 cm. This size is still very small when compared to tablets made by Apple, iPad, a screen size of 25 centimeters.
Previously, Jobs made the comments that mention tablet 7 inches size as the responsibility and did not enter into any category. "The device was too small to compete with smartphones and too big to compete with the iPad," he said.
Balsillie had 'slapped' by tilting back behind Apple's Apple's rejection of Adobe Flash videos on the iPad.
"We all know if the Adobe Flash support whatever is best for customers who want the Internet experience wonderful. We also tender when Apple wanted to try to control the ecosystem and set the platform is closed, it was all good for Apple itself. Developers even want more choice, and consumers want full access to the internet that the majority of his web use Flash, "said Balsillie.

The Friendly Competitor Betwen Apple and Samsung
Apple has the iPhone and iPad, while Samsung has a few smartphones, and tablets. Whatever is done Apple, Samsung follow.
Samsung behaviors that tend to follow Apple's footsteps can be regarded as measures of competition. But apparently some analysts even suspect if Samsung and Apple are partners related real good.
"Apple and Samsung have a good partnership. Samsung could be regarded as the provider as well as a competitor for Apple, even though they have different strategies. Apple is targeting the high-end market segments, while Samsung wants to play in public markets and large," said Young Park, an analyst at Woori Investment and technology of Securities in South Korea, as quoted by Yahoo News, Thursday 14 October 2010.
Not only that, more than a third component in the iPad, the iPhone and several other Apple devices were supplied by South Korean companies. That is, Samsung does have a fairly close relationship with Apple.
"Apple and Samsung could practically take advantage of each other. Apple seems to depend on components made by Samsung, while Samsung's own benefit from the innovation of Apple," said Young.
In addition to products, they also have a mobile platform. Apple with the iPhone OS, while the Samsung with Bada. Both have to compete hard to win the operating system market was also battered by the current Windows 7 Phone and Android. Responding to this, senior analyst from New York Investment Bank Rodman and Renshaw, Ashok Kumar, said that if the OS market, industry competition is actually taking place.
"In this huge market, we believe, ultimately there will be two platforms that will exist, namely the Apple and Android. And the platform Samsung will have the same value with Android," said Kumar.
He added that Apple is dominating the high-end market, along with the price of smartphones continue to fall. Samsung's own market Kumas predicted to increase, particularly in developing countries such as Brazil, China and India.
"Apple's premium product and will not be able to get into the more general market. This is where Samsung can get around their market share," says Kumar.

Nokia C7 Versus N8
Nokia started to market the handset C7, their second smartphone using the Symbian operating system 3 in the UK market. Released at 335 euros price range, or about Rp 4, 1 million, the phone is slightly cheaper than the N8.
Although cheaper, the Nokia N8 C7 defeat in several aspects. For example, C7 is thinner and lighter. The screen uses AMOLED type, while N8 just use regular touch screen, although the two 3.5-inch screen has a resolution of 640x360 pixels.
N8 comes with a storage capacity of 16GB which is more relieved than the C7 is only 8GB. From the side of the camera, N8 has 12 megapixels, while the C7 'only' 8 megapixels. "However, from the design side, a little more interesting than the C7 N8," said Geoff Blaber, analyst at CCS Insight, told PC Advisor, October 13, 2010.
However, the price range, the C7 is still quite expensive, while N8 will face severe competition from the iPhone 4. "Not to mention other smartphone using Android," said Blaber. "Similarities between C7 and N8 also would create one of the products 'mengkanibal' sales of other models."
Nokia takes a long time to develop phones based on Symbian 3 them. However, C7 successfully marketed much faster than the initial deadline Nokia (ie at the end of the year) when they announced the first matter of C7, last September.
"The success of Nokia overcome many bugs on Symbian 3 will assist them in marketing their phones," said Blaber. "The strategy that the company is now launching models of mobile phones is less than before, they will allow them to produce products more quickly," he said.
